Darien Brockington is back with the follow-up to his 2006 solo debut Somebody To Love. Just recently released, The Cold Case Files is a 19-track set that melds songs and vignettes in a seamless manner. The album presents itself as an audio diary complete with suspense and turns in the plot. Life and the intersection of love are mined for here for some very introspective material.
Some of the standout tracks are: “Fashionista(I Wish I Didn’t Love H.E.R.)”, “I Know(You Know)” and “Beautiful”.
